A native of Utah, George Harvey Dabling began acting 19, while attending college.  He is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but will work SAG-AFTRA projects anywhere as a 'Local Hire' status.

George resumed acting as his primary profession in 2007, first residing in the Las Vegas area, then Los Angeles, then Albuquerque where he currently resides. He completed lead roles in three independent feature films, all of which obtained stream-distribution.,  The most notable role was as FBI Agent Tom Hampton' in the Sean Jackson directed film, 'Bubblegum and Broken Fingers'. for which he obtained the 'Best Debut Performance Award'  at the 2011 Vegas Independent Film Festival.   He also portrayed the pivotal role of 'Terry' in the crime drama, 'One Step Behind', released to Amazon in 2015.  A third crime mystery-drama. 'Drury Lane', was stream-released in 2020, in which he portrayed homeless schizophrenic war veteran 'Henry Claudemiere'.

 

Though he started in theatre, Dabling has concentrated on pursuing work in TV and Film, studying intensively with world-class acting-coaches  John Kirby, Ivana Chubbuck. and Christopher Holder. Other past acting coaches were Adam Hill, Michael Tylo, and Tom Logan in Las Vegas and Dominic DeFazio in L.A . He has studied scene-work at the South Coast Repertory, the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, and was an work-apprentice at Actors Studio, West in 1977 and 1978.  His credits involve numerous roles in Los Angeles area student films, mostly involving some noted productions at USC, UCLA, and Chapman University.

 

George s a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, enjoys outdoor activities, and keeps busy with weekly volunteer work .  Currently, he is represented commercially and theatrically by Tracey Michaels of the Sovereign Talent Group of Los Angeles.
